Mr. Martin Brady is Executive Director of Schools Insurance Authority (SIA), a Joint Powers Authority providing liability, property and workers’ compensation insurance to 37 school districts in northern California. Mr. Brady joined SIA in 1988 as Wellness Program Manager and has been Executive Director since 1997. He is a strong advocate for public agencies and their potential for providing cost-effective, innovative services.
Mr. Brady was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to serve on the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation (CHSWC) to represent employer interests throughout California. He has continued to be actively involved in legislative initiatives such as SB 863.
For the past several years, Mr. Brady has been active with the California Coalition for Workers’ Compensation (CCWC), California Workers’ Compensation Institute (CWCI), and California Association of Joint Powers Authorities (CAJPA).
