Government Financial Services Joint Powers Authority was founded on July 1, 2022 by 7 public agencies:
- Capistrano Unified School District
- Davis Joint Unified School District
- Elk Grove Unified School District
- Kern County Superintendent of Schools
- Sacramento County Office of Education
- Santa Clara Unified School District
- Schools Insurance Authority
With its staff, GFSJPA carries forward a tradition of over 30 years of government agency financing experience focused on quantitative rigor and high ethics. GFSJPA staff has:
- served more than 300 public agencies, including school districts, county offices of education, counties, cities, special districts, and joint powers authorities.
- provided financial advisory services in connection with more than 1,000 financings totaling over $16 billion.
- worked on more than 100 bond and tax measures requiring voter approval, including general obligation bonds, parcel taxes, and other local taxes.
