Dr. Kristen Coates is the Deputy Superintendent of Business and Facilities for the Elk Grove Unified School District. Previously, Dr. Coates served as the Chief Business Officer for the Twin Rivers Unified School District, and in the central office of Natomas Unified and Sacramento City Unified School Districts. Dr. Coates attended Idaho State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education in Literacy and Leadership. She received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Coates serves as faculty for the Sacramento County Office of Education School of Education and frequently serves as chair for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
